2013 LIHEAP Action Day, April 10, 2013.
On April 10, 2013, the National Fuel Funds Network will hold its annual LIHEAP Action Day. NFFN members will travel to the Nation’s Capital to lobby Senators and Representatives for increased LIHEAP funding. NFFN and legislators will participate in a press conference. NFFN will also support and coordinate grassroots activities to amplify the message being delivered in Washington. Examples of local activities include press conferences, Congressional call-ins, petition drives and local or state government proclamations.

February 6, 2013: An Energy Literate CFitizenry from K-to-Gray: A Live Webcast on the Department of Energy's Energy Literacy Initiative Webinar Sponsor: EERE Education and Workforce Development The Department of Energy will present a live webcast, titled "An Energy Literate Citizenry from K-to-Gray" on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The Energy Literacy: Essential Principles and Fundamental Concepts for Energy Education document provides a framework of seven essential principles every citizen should know to be energy literate. The framework is designed to empower energy educators to apply an interdisciplinary, systems-based approach to teaching the physical, natural, and social sciences necessary for a comprehensive understanding of energy. This webinar will detail the Energy Literacy Framework, its conception through multiple partners, current activities (including its translation into Spanish), and highlight other available energy education resources.
